James Jessiman - NADA Miami

Created for James Jessiman and showcased at NADA Miami 2023 via The Artist Room, these sculptures were produced through PLA direct investment casting process. By utilizing high-resolution 3D prints in PLA as sacrificial patterns, the foundry bypassed traditional moulding to capture the flower's intricate organic forms with absolute precision. This "Lost PLA" technique facilitates a seamless workflow from digital design to bronze realisation, allowing for complex geometries that maintain a delicate aesthetic while benefiting from the archival permanence of metal. The final works, as detailed in Plaster Magazine, were finished with custom patinas to bridge the gap between digital artifice and natural beauty.
