Produced via PLA direct investment casting, Raya Kassisieh’s Close, Closer, and Closed (2024) series uses high-resolution 3D prints as sacrificial patterns to render intricate, bodily forms in bronze. By 3D-scanning her own body-pillow forms, the artist converts the "temporary skin" of a lived moment into a permanent, complex sculpture that investigates themes of vulnerability and memory.
